The game is currently in its preproduction phase. As for public release, do not worry... we'll let everyone know ;)
No. The whole concept of The Architect: Paris is to offer an existing city to the player with the challenges of management and evolution.
As a lot of other people interested in the game, you wonder why we keep saying that "players won't be allowed to change the streets". It's actually a fair question, considering that, so far, all city building/managing games have offered the same scenario: build your city from scratch, starting with roads (for people and cars suddenly appearing out of nowhere) then zoning (which is, you will agree with us, a very peculiar way of living), etc... The Architect: Paris aims to be really different. In TA:P, you won't be the mayor of the city nor a powerful, omnipotent, figure rulling over the city with no limits nor boundaries. You will be... an architect (makes sense, right?). As such, you will participate in tenders from public or private entities (for what we call "Side Projects") in order to make your firm grow and progress. The more tenders you win, the more Prestige you get, opening new horizons for you and your firm and helping you conquer more land (Districts).
Yes! Not only will TOD and weather events be included but they will directly impact the gameplay.
Yes you will! And that's one of the unique feature of The Architect: Paris.
You will find more informationon the Drawing Board page.
The Architect: Paris is about... Paris! Of course, the same concept could be applied to other cities in the future.
